Born out of frustration
Two friends living abroad kept losing money every time they sent it home. Banks advertised “no fees” while quietly bending the exchange rate.
So they built a simple swap: people who needed each other’s currencies were matched directly, at the real mid-market rate. No markups. No surprises.
That idea grew into a platform millions now use to send, hold and spend money in dozens of currencies.
